Mat Piscatella from NPD Group stated that the new Xbox Series X/S is the best-selling consoles in terms of revenue, that is, the consoles that make Microsoft the most money.

Xbox sales surpassed PlayStation and Nintendo Switch

According to statistics shared by NPD analyst Mat Piscatella on Twitter, Xbox sales generated $515 million in March (down 24 percent from 2021) and $1.2 billion in first quarter (15 percent down from 2021).
Despite the decline, these sales represent the most Xbox sales in March since 2011 (Xbox 360) and the most revenue for March since 2014. Let’s also note that the March period of 2014 is only a few months after the launch of Xbox One.
However, the Xbox 360 remains Microsoft’s best-selling console to date, with 84 million units sold.
