Sleeping Dogs is adapted to the big screen: Simu Liu will play the lead role
Sleeping Dogs, which entered our lives in 2012, presented us with a plenty of action open -world adventure in Hong Kong’s crime world. As the secret police wei Shen, we infiltrated the Triad gangs and entered hard fights and witnessed an impressive story. With its open world structure, GTA -like gameplay and story, production had not gained great popularity, even though it had created a fan base in a short time. For this reason, the production, which was abandoned by Square Enix and United Front Games, can soon gain the popularity it deserves.

Studies have started for Sleeping Dogs’ film

Simu Liu, who recently portrayed the character of Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, said that Sleeping Dogs had interviewed with producers and wanted to move the production to the big screen. After Liu’s sharing, IGN said the negotiations were positive and that the Sleeping Dogs was officially approved.

According to IGN’s sources, Sleeping Dogs; Sonic The Hedgehog, Tomb Raider and Streets of Rage will be developed in the partnership of Story Kitchen and Square Enix. In addition, the famous actress Simu Liu will give life to Wei Shen, the main character of the production. The cast of the film and the release date is not yet clear, but more details will emerge in the coming months.
