Use social media with iPhone voice control
You can navigate social media applications using the Voice Control feature developed for iPhones. To put it briefly: Voice Control allows you to do everything you can think of on the phone with a voice command. You can control the iPhone using preset commands or custom commands that you create yourself.
- Open Settings and enter the Accessibility menu.
- Find and activate Voice Control feature in iPhone settings.
- Then enter the “Customize Commands” section.
- Click on the “Custom” option.
- Press the Create new command button. Fill in the fields that appear as follows:
Phrase: Write here which word you want to activate the swipe gesture in the social media app. Since the Voice Control feature does not support Turkish, you have to use English words. For example, you can write “Next” for simplicity.
Action: Enter the “Run Custom Gesture” section here. Then draw a swipe up gesture on the black screen that opens. After drawing, press the Save button.
Application: In this section, select the application you want to use the iPhone voice control feature. After filling all the fields, click the Save button in the upper right corner. Now you can open the social media application you have determined and say the phrase you have written.
With the voice control feature, you can do not only social media, but also every action you can think of. For example, you can open a video from YouTube or even run a shortcut in the Shortcuts app. This is where your imagination comes into play.
Important note: iPhone may slow down when voice control is on. If you encounter such a problem, you need to turn the feature off.
