Simon Leviev, also known as the Tinder Hunter, announced that he made his fortune through Bitcoin (BTC).
Leviev, whose real name is Shimon Hayut, gave his first interview since The Tinder Swindler was released on Netflix on February 2. In the series, Leviev allegedly defrauded at least three women for hundreds of thousands of dollars after they entered into a romantic relationship.
But now Leviev has claimed that he is a “businessman who does legal stuff” and made his fortune by investing early in Bitcoin. “I am a legit businessman,” Leviev said when asked Inside Edition how he finances his luxury lifestyle, which includes luxury hotel stays and private jet flights. Leviev said:
During the interview, Leviev denied the accusations that he was a Tinder Scam and said that not everyone is a “monster” created by him. She said the women in the documentary – Cecilie Fjellhøy, Pernilla Sjoholm and Ayleen Charlotte – were not “fooled” or “threatened”.
When asked if he felt sorry for the three women, he replied, “I don’t feel sorry for something I didn’t do. No. I feel bad for what happened to me. I want to clear my name, I want to tell the world that this is not true,” he replied.
