Signatures for the floating solar power plant around the north of the world
Norwegian renewable energy company Alotta, Bafjordstranda region on the northern coast of Norway, with the agreement with the Fish Farm Owner Emilsen Fisk, the world’s northern northern floating solar power plant began to work. This innovative project aims to reduce the consumption of diesel and CO2 used in the fish farm.

The fish farm on the shore will use the floating solar system of Alotta’s 160 kW. This system, known as Alotta Solar Hybrid 120, attracts attention with its special technology -resistant technology. Emilsen Fisk CEO Roy Emilsen said that this system will be operational next month.

Company officials stressed that Alotta Solar Hybrid 120 will produce energy between 80,000 kWh and 90,000 kWh annually and that Emilsen Fisk will significantly reduce diesel consumption. The system, especially in the summer months thanks to long day and high sunlight will provide the highest efficiency, and in winter energy production will continue to reduce diesel dependence, it was expressed.

With this project, the floating solar system will be built on the existing fish farm cage and will improve the working environment by reducing the noise of diesel generators. In addition, by minimizing the traffic of boats related to fuel transportation processes, it will minimize environmental impacts.
