Twitter is preparing to introduce a feature where users can easily switch between recommended posts and tweets from users they follow. Thus, it will be possible to follow trends and topics more easily.
The scrollable home feed that Elon Musk mentioned earlier this month is currently in development and will appear soon. Considering that Twitter users can already switch between the chronological feed and the homepage, it doesn’t seem like it would be too difficult for Twitter to bring the ability to scroll through the streams.
Musk announced that the new feature will arrive in January.
,
“New Twitter navigation for swiping between recommended & followed tweets, trends, headlines, etc. is coming in January.
Until then, switch by looking at the stars in the upper right corner of the homepage.”
With the new feature, it will be easier to navigate between topics or posts on Twitter, and a new perspective will be presented for the microblogging site. While the feature seems useful in theory, it may take some getting used to in practice, but it is unlikely that Twitter will give up on this feature.
Elon Musk announced features such as adding views to tweets, prioritizing blue tick users in chats, and offering a square profile photo option for companies in his statements earlier this month. Thus, a new feature has been added to Twitter’s features that will not be useful for the standard user, but will somehow increase the interaction with the platform.
