Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus criticized Shiba Inu’s metaverse project in a recent tweet thread. Here are the details…
Shiba Inu’s metaverse criticism from the founder of Dogecoin
As we have also reported as Kriptokoin.com, the Shiba Inu (SHIB) community was very excited following the news of “SHIB: The Metaverse”. This metaverse is expected to contain 100,595 plots and 4 different areas. The network even released an official website for its native tokens. While Shib Army is celebrating this launch, the co-founder of the oldest meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE) criticized this update.
Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus on Twitter and in front of the Shib network asked a question. Markus openly asked what is the benefit of creating a metaverse and putting the “fake land” up for sale. It will be impossible to prevent the rise of the Metaverse. With almost every major company entering the digital space, many believe the metaverse is the way of the future. However, the above tweet from the Dogecoin co-founder has the community wondering if Markus has ventured into the metaverse.
Markus: SHIB developers should do projects to help SHIB
Markus, “SHIB developers working on SHIB should not get themselves another $100-300 million from SHIB owners, they should do projects to help SHIB ” he added. Markus has been an outspoken critic of some meme cryptocurrencies, which he believes are “frivolous speculation tokens” with no real utility. In December, DOGE’s co-founder said he doesn’t know much about the inner workings of the SHIB community as he isn’t interested in cryptocurrencies he doesn’t own.
Earlier this month, SHIB lead developer Shytoshi Kusama gave a reply to Markus, who has “released” Dogecoin. “Also, unlike Billy, who resigned, I’m not leaving. I’m building. “I see a future where most people see the end,” he said. In November, Markus accused the Shiba Inu community of harassing him and asked members to leave him alone after he was flooded with spam messages. The Dogecoin co-founder has repeatedly stated that he has nothing to do with rival meme cryptocurrency SHIB.
