Ubisoft, one of the largest game companies in the world, continues to cut support for its old games. In the latest statement from the company, it was stated that the servers of 15 games offered for both consoles and computers will be closed. Among these games are productions such as Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 3.

Ending support for older Ubisoft games

A number of classic games, including Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Driver San Francisco, Far Cry 3 and Prince of Persia, are being unplugged as of September 1. Ubisoft, which previously closed the servers of 90 games in April and removed online support, announced that it has expanded this decision.

In the blog post shared on the company’s website, it was stated that support for 15 games offered for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U will be discontinued. Ubisoft’s latest decision means games cannot be played online and rewards cannot be claimed via Ubisoft Connect.

Users who own the Windows version of any of these games will also not be able to access the DLCs. Ranging from Assassin’s Creed 3 to Far Cry 3, the list will see its servers disabled on September 1.

Ubisoft also announced that the remastered versions of Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 3 will still be supported. The DLCs of the remastered versions of these two classic games will also continue to be playable.

  • Assassin’s Creed 2
  • Assassin’s Creed 3
  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations
  • Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD
  • Anno 2070
  • Driver San Francisco
  • Far Cry 3
  • Ghost Recon Future Soldier
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
  • Rayman Legends
  • Silent Hunter 5
  • Space Junkies
  • Splinter Cell: Blacklist
  • ZombiU

Although we think it is reasonable for Ubisoft to unplug 15 old games, the VR game announced in 2019 called Space Junkies was closed. Space Junkies will no longer be playable as it is a fully multiplayer production.
