Shiba Inu developer Shytoshi Kusama announced that it has partnered with Welly’s, an Italian fast-food restaurant.
Welly’s adopted a new slogan, making the Shiba Inu dog its new mascot and citing the anonymous creator of SHIB, Ryoshi, the restaurant has also adjusted its menu and marketing strategy, which has already undergone a complete rebrand.
SHIB will be used as a payment tool at Welly’s Restaurant
Kusama said that the restaurant is known for “extremely quality food” and that there will be healthy food options in the restaurant. Kusama made the following statements;
“Welly’s is a burger restaurant but will also offer vegan and healthy fast food options. We will provide more options to meet these needs.”
Currently only located in one location in Naples, but the team plans to reach global scale by rejecting the idea of partnership with giant centralized conglomerates. The developers also came up with the idea to implement blockchain-based food tracking with the help of Shibarium, an as-yet-unreleased layer-2 solution.
