Aave is ready to launch its new stablecoin, HGO
- Tether’s chief technology officer, Paolo Ardoino, announced that they plan to support ETH 2.0.
- A community proposal to launch GHO, the new stablecoin of the Aave network, was passed over the weekend with a 99% vote in favor of the proposal. The proposal aims to improve the features of Aave’s lending platform. Approximately 501,000 Aave (AAVE) tokens were used to vote in support. Only 12 tokens remained in opposition.
- Lime refused to form a partnership with Helium (HNT), despite promoting such an agreement on its website.
- Tiffany & Co. has announced a limited edition CryptoPunk necklace powered by NFT. The mint price of the necklaces will be 30 ETH.
The Shiba Inu community has burned 1.13 billion SHIB in the past week
- The Web3 Foundation (W3F) has approved about 40% of applications from projects looking to build on Polkadot. 1,054 fund applications were made to the foundation, 415 of which were approved. W3F reports that 181 teams have completed at least one project and 300 teams have successfully delivered their first milestones.
- Attorney John Deaton has invited MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor to Crypto Law US TV to discuss securities.
- The Shiba Inu community burned 4.76 billion SHIB in July 2022, 1.13 billion in a week, and 216.48 million SHIB in 24 hours.
- Binance announced the addition of WTC to Binance Convert. Users can now trade WTC against BTC, BUSD, USDC and other tokens and check the price of that token via Binance Convert.
- Crypto WODL, a mini-game by Binance News that allows users to understand the latest market developments while earning crypto rewards, has announced that it will distribute $30,000 worth of SAND in a question-and-answer contest on the metaverse and GameFi.
- The XT NFT platform has announced that the Feetback project has listed an NFT collection.
- Ripple has circulated 1 billion XRP tokens from two escrow wallets, according to data provided by Bithomp’s XRP Ledger Explorer.
- Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk ironically wrote in his latest tweet that he no longer likes the entrepreneur because the media says “bad things” about him. Musk’s post was a response to a post stating that the Whole Mars Catalog account wrote an article about people who bought Tesla because they loved Elon Musk. The account did not specify whether the issue was Tesla stock or the actual car.
Hublot, the world’s largest watchmaker, now accepts Bitcoin, SHIB and other cryptos
- BitPay has announced that Hublot is now accepting crypto payments for luxury watches. SHIB, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Wrapped Bitcoin are among the cryptocurrencies that will be accepted as payment.
- According to Glassnode data, Ethereum gas prices have now reached May 2020 levels, where the price of the second largest cryptocurrency is currently around $200. The amount of ETH burned by EIP1559 hits an all-time low.
