  • Wyre, Moneygram, and Stellar Powered Global have integrated the “crypto-to-cash” service. Wyre now gives its users the ability to seamlessly switch between cash and crypto.
  • Yuga Labs has completed the first test demonstration of its metaverse project Otherside. It took about 25 minutes to convert previously collected NFTs into in-game characters.
  • To dismiss fear, uncertainty, and suspicion (FUD) about the upcoming Vasil hard fork, Charles Hoskinson claimed on Twitter that Cardano’s smart contracts will still work after the implementation of the much-anticipated upgrade.
  • Solana-based decentralized finance protocol Crema Finance has returned its stolen funds. The project announced that it has reached a settlement with the hacker who dumped $8.78 million worth of crypto last week through a flash loan attack.
  • The USDC stablecoin outperformed giants like USDT and BUSD. Fastest growing stablecoin by market cap: its net capitalization has increased 52x in the last 23 months, according to the data.
  • Nuvei accepted Dogecoin, XRP and other cryptocurrencies as payment by Canadian food tech company WeCook. WeCook will use Nuvei’s payment technology and support to handle both business-to-business and direct-to-consumer payment processing needs. Coins to be accepted for payments: Bitcoin, Cardano, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, NEO, XRP, Dogecoin, Reddcoin, Bitcoin Gold, USDT and others.

Solana faces legal action

  • Solana was found guilty of violating the securities law. The lawsuit, filed by California resident Mark Young, accuses Solana of selling SOL as unregistered securities.
  • Immutable X allows users to receive US dollars in Ethereum withdrawals in their bank accounts. The Ethereum launcher will be available to any developer at Immutable.
  • Court documents filed by the temporarily defunct crypto lender Voyager showed that the firm was unable to repay the total amount owed to customers. The firm reports that it currently has $1.3 billion in crypto funds on its platform, despite having $1.12 billion in loan debt.
  • Attorney John Deaton announced that during his tenure as the Corporation’s Director of Corporate Finance, William Hinman may file a lawsuit with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) at a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for the official calendar. Deaton believes the SEC is lying and that Hinman’s calendar is not used to run official agency business.

  • Interesting claims about Cardano appeared on Twitter. According to Twitter account Thorchain.bull, not all dApps running on the Plutus version will be compatible with the new Vassil upgrade. He claimed that all existing smart contracts had to be rewritten to fit the new system.
  • Binance will support REI Network (REI) upgrade and hard fork. The REI Network upgrade will be applied at approximately 15:00 on July 13. Withdrawals will be suspended at approximately 14:00 on the same day.
  • Celsius announced that it has hired two new directors and fired three others. Still facing the ongoing liquidity crisis, the platform has completed its board of directors along with Alan Jeffrey Carr and David Barse, Celsius CEO Alex Mashinsky and other executives.
