Shaquille O’Neal again started talking about Flat Earth Theories and “Flat” Flights to Australia. Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal said that this inspiration came to him on his last flight from the USA to Australia. “It’s a theory,” he said, and continued: “It’s just a theory, they teach us a lot. This is just a theory. I’ve flown for 20 hours today and the plane hasn’t turned upside down once. They say the world turns. I’ve been living on a lake for 30 years and not once have I seen the lake move left or right.”
This isn’t the first time Shaq has mentioned flat earth theories. In 2017, he said: “I drive from one coast of America to the other. This Earth is flat for me. I drive from Florida to California all the time and the Earth feels flat. I’m not going up and down at a 360-degree angle.”
How serious is Shaquille O’Neal with these words?
There are also some indications that these are not Shaq’s true beliefs, and he is indeed a master at the art of trolling. It’s probably inspired by the ad’s promise that no good is bad.
“The world is flat,” he said in Jordan Harbinger’s podcast The Art of Charm, and added: “Do you want to hear my theory? Part one of my theory is this: I’m kidding, you idiots. Know that when Shaquille O’Neal says something, 80 percent of what he says is a joke. At 20 percent, I’m serious. But when I’m serious, you’ll understand it very well.”
