Samsung introduced its new foldable smartphones: Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 in August. Both are powered by the Snapdragon 888 chipset. While the Z Fold3 has a 7.6-inch external and 6.2-inch internal AMOLED display; The Z Flip3, on the other hand, comes with a 1.9-inch exterior and a 6.7-inch thin-long interior display.
In an advertisement titled “Flex Games”, Samsung talked about Flex Mode, the most important feature of smartphones. Thanks to this mode, the Galaxy Z Fold3/Z Flip3’s screen can be used when it is open between 75 and 115 degrees, by placing it on the table in the form of a laptop. It turns off automatically when going full screen.
‘first iPhone’ detail in Galaxy Z Fold3/Z Flip3 advertisement
YouTube’s mobile application was preloaded on the first iPhone model introduced by Steve Jobs in 2007. Apple featured a video of a dog sitting on a skateboard in its 30-second television commercial to show it to people.
15 years later, Samsung has used a similar technique. The 30-second video to introduce the Flex Mode of the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 features the same breed of dog as in Apple’s first iPhone ad. The ad comes to an end after the scene where the dog takes flight on a jet-powered skateboard.
When Flex Mode is enabled on Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Galaxy Z Flip 3; While you can navigate through the application with the lower part of the screen, you can view the contents on the upper part. In this sense, we can say that it offers a mini laptop experience. However, it is worth noting that not every application supports Flex.
In the meantime, the first information about the Galaxy Z Fold4 / Z Flip4, which is expected to be introduced in the coming months, started to come. It is said that the next-generation foldable smartphones will use 4,400 mAh and 3,303 mAh batteries, respectively, support up to 25W fast charging, and be powered by the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.
Apple is also allegedly working on a foldable iPhone. According to the famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, it will be introduced in 2025.
