Nothing enthusiastically launched the Nothing Chats app, which offers both RCS and iMessage support to improve the messaging experience between Android and iPhone users, but the company has received a lot of criticism since the announcement.

Messages are not end-to-end encrypted

It was revealed that Nothing Chats does not protect chats with end-to-end encryption, and attachments sent from other users can be easily accessed in plain text. Sunbird is said to use HTTP instead of HTTPS. All outgoing messages are leaked in plaintext to a sentry server. Therefore, it is considered an extremely unsafe practice.
