Tesla, which is the pioneer of the electric car revolution and has high technology and safety in its cars, can recall thousands of vehicles from time to time due to some problems. Today, it has been announced that a major problem affecting approximately 1 million Tesla owners in the United States has been discovered.

Tesla discovered a safety issue in all of its 2021 and 2022 model cars in the US. Accordingly, when the Teslas were started, no warning sound would sound if the driver did not wear a seat belt. Due to this feature, which is mandatory according to the US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, 817 thousand 143 vehicles were recalled.

The issue will be fixed with OTA update:

According to documents shared by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue was seen only under one condition. In order for the seat belt warning not to sound, the driver had to have gotten out of the vehicle before this warning sounded. Fortunately, drivers will not need to bring their vehicles to service points.

According to the statement made in the document, Tesla will fix this problem in all vehicles by issuing an OTA update this month. In addition, the company also stated in its statement that there is no information about any injuries or deaths due to this problem so far. This recall was the company’s largest.
