The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) would like to learn about Tronix after an individual application.
The SEC called on Tron founder Justin Sun and several YouTubers to provide information on Troniz. The SEC gave Sun 21 days to respond to the lawsuit.
SEC Wants to Learn About Tronix Incident
The SEC has summoned Tron Foundation Ltd. founder Justin Sun, rapper Soulja Boy, and YouTube music star Austin Mahone, following a civil complaint about Tronix last month. The SEC claims that Tronix and the BitTorrent token BTT are unregistered securities offerings.
The SEC issued a summons to Sun, Mahone, and Soulja Boy, asking them to respond within 21 days. It was announced that if there was no response, a decision would be made against them by default “for the compensation claimed in the complaint”.
The SEC also asked Sun and its companies to no longer offer securities, including digital assets, forfeiting revenue plus interest and paying civil penalties. It is a matter of curiosity how Justin Sun will respond to this request of the SEC.
