Screen features of iPhone 14 series leaked

As the iPhone 14 launch date approaches, we’re learning more and more about Apple’s new smartphones. The latest leak reveals key information about the screens used on the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

The Chinese news portal ITHome has published information about the specifications and suppliers of the screens in the iPhone 14, citing a report from Omdia. According to the data, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will come with a 6.06 and 6.68 inch LTPS OLED display, respectively. Both smartphones will have a notch just like the iPhone 13. It is stated that the screen resolution will be 2532 × 1170 pixels on the iPhone 14 and 2778 × 1284 pixels on the iPhone 14 Plus. The refresh rate will be higher than 60 Hz (possibly 90 Hz), but there will be no dynamic refresh rate (VRR) support due to the nature of the display.

Samsung, LG and BOE will produce iPhone 14 screens

Apple will equip the LTPO OLED displays on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max with dual punch-holes for the front camera and additional sensors. The screen size of the iPhone 14 will be 6.12 inches and the resolution will be 2564 × 1183 pixels. The iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a 6.69-inch display with a resolution of 2802 × 1294 pixels. Both iPhone 14 models will support VRR, but there is no exact information about the maximum screen refresh rate yet.

Samsung Display will be the main display supplier for the entire iPhone 14 series, accounting for 60% of total shipments. The other 25% of Apple’s display needs will be covered by LG Display and the remaining 15% by BOE.
