One of the biggest question marks in the history of the world was how the dinosaurs disappeared. Various findings were found on this subject and different conspiracy theories were produced. An interesting article has been published about how this period, which goes back to the pre-human era, disappeared.

Respiratory disorder detected in dinosaur fossil

A study on a dinosaur fossil was published in Scientific Reports. Scientists in the USA came across an important detail regarding the cause of death as a result of their work on the fossil of the dinosaur known as Dolly. As a result of the study conducted in the USA, scientists detected a type of respiratory disease in the dinosaur.

Work was done on Dolly’s neck bones. At the end of these studies, scientists came across findings that the dinosaur had a “respiratory disorder” that could lead to bone and joint infection. Montana Great Dinosaur Museum director Dr. Cary Woodruff made a statement on the subject. According to Woodruff, the dinosaurs became extinct due to respiratory failure.

It has been stated that respiratory ailment may occur in most of the giant dinosaurs. Because it is assumed that the dolly was 18 meters tall when he lived. It is estimated that the dinosaur, which was examined in the light of previous studies, lived for 15 years.

While it is thought that the respiratory disease is caused by bacterial or fungal infections, it is stated that there may be an infection called “air sac inflammation”. On the other hand, there is strong evidence that the findings did indeed kill the dinosaurs.

It is stated that similar respiratory disorders are observed quite frequently in some bird species that are estimated to have evolved from the dinosaur genus and survived until today. In many previous studies on the extinction of dinosaurs, it was obtained as a result of respiratory disease. However, such a definite finding seems to shed light on the past.
