We’ve encountered leaks a few times before that said the iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with an even bigger camera block and use a punch-hole display instead of a notch. And now another similar leak has come. This time the leak comes from the famous leakster Max Weinbach.
According to the design drawings Weinbach published, the camera bump on the Cupertino company’s next Pro Max phone will increase from 3.60mm to 4.17mm, even more prominent than the current iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Other dimensions of the camera module will also be enlarged by about five percent in the upcoming device, increasing from 36.24mm in height to 38.21mm in height and expanding from 35.01mm to 36.73mm in width, as noted by MacRumors.
We’re talking about a 1-2 millimeter difference here, and it probably won’t affect anyone’s phone decision. However, a deeper camera module means users who want their device to lie flat without shaking will need a larger phone case.

Kuo responded to tweet about Weinbach’s leaked schematics that the increase in module size is “widespread” in Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. He stated that it was due to “upgrading the camera to 48MP”. This is a significant upgrade over the current 12MP camera of the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max.
Of course, none of this is final yet and we won’t know for sure if this leak is real until the expected launch in September…
