Google Photos has been one of the most used applications on our phone for a long time. The application, which stands out with its many different useful features, has come a long way especially in grouping photos.
Google Photos now recognizes you when your back is turned!
Google Photos has taken grouping to a new level with the latest update. Google Photos can now group photos by recognizing people from behind. This feature, which we can call quite useful, on the other hand, reveals the point of artificial intelligence.
A user named Rita El Khour noticed that the Google Photos app detects her husband correctly even in fully-reversed photos. This reveals that the Photos app has quietly received an artificial intelligence update.
The last feature of the application, which can group photos of landscapes or people’s faces, is interpreted as a little scary. The fact that the application somehow recognizes people from behind and groups the photos has created quite a stir. Another confusing point is that this feature works even in distant photos.
Although this system works quite successfully, the Photos app still offers manual tagging. Because, although the application works successfully most of the time, it does not always give the correct result.
The artificial intelligence technology of Google Photos seems to be able to recognize people by distinguishing them, especially their clothes, and other noticeable features.
