SBF’s Lawyers Apply For A Third Time To Revise Bail Terms

The lawsuit process of FTX, which announced its bankruptcy last year with a great shock effect in the market, continues. Lawyers for Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), who are on trial in the case, are complaining about his bail conditions. SBF’s lawyers complained of not being able to monitor his family’s phones due to bail conditions.

According to the court filing, monitoring software could not be installed on new cell phones purchased for Bankman-Fried’s parents because he was unable to automatically take a photo every five minutes, as required by the order. Therefore, the lawyers requested a third extension to enforce the bail conditions.

However, the legal team stated that they have found a solution for the monitoring of mobile phones. For this reason, they explained to the court that they needed extra time. Judge Kaplan stressed that Bankman-Fried’s family had an “electronic garden” with internet access in his home and said he believed Bankman-Fried had attempted witness tampering. On March 28, Bankman-Fried’s parents consented to limit her access to her devices and agreed not to bring banned electronic devices into their homes.
