Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) has asked the court for additional time to bail.

Sam Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of FTX, has asked the court to extend the bail until March 3 to discuss the terms. Sam Bankman-Fried is on trial for a number of crimes, including bank fraud.

Sam Bankman-Fried Requests Additional Time from Court

Sam Bankman-Fried, former CEO of FTX, is facing a number of charges by the court after FTX’s bankruptcy. Bank fraud is among the charges against SBF as one of the new charges.

Sam Bankman-Fried wants more time to negotiate bail terms.

Lawyers for the former FTX executive sent a letter Friday requesting a federal judge to give him until March 3 to work out details of the ongoing bail dispute. Bankman-Fried also requested more time to find a technologist to train the court.

Bankman-Fried’s lawyers made statements on the subject:

“We respectfully request the court to give the defense additional time to submit our proposal for technical counsel and additional bail conditions.”

SBF is currently under house arrest in California with a $250 million bond.
