Samsung usually launches its next-generation Galaxy A-series phones at the beginning of the first quarter each year. In early 2023, the company is expected to announce the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A74, among other devices. Although Samsung will not use Exynos chips in the Galaxy S23 family, it continues to develop new chips for the midrange. New information also confirms these chips.

Recently, Qualcomm confirmed that the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S series smartphones worldwide will only use the Snapdragon chipset. On the other hand, Samsung continues to develop new mobile chips under the Exynos brand. Exynos 1330 and Exynos 1380 chips are among them.

Galaxy A54 processor revealed

These two chips detected in the Bluetooth SIG database will have Bluetooth 5.3 support. These chips will be Samsung’s mid-range processors. As the name suggests, the Exynos 1380 appears to be the successor to the Exynos 1280 found on the Galaxy A53, Galaxy A33 and Galaxy M33. On the other hand, the Exynos 1330 may be the successor of the Exynos 850 or Exynos 880, so there is very limited information for this chip for now.

SamMobile suggests that the Exynos 1380 may contain at least two ARM Cortex-A series high-performance CPU cores. In addition, ARM Mali-G615 CPU and integrated 5G modem can be included in this chip. That said, the Exynos 1380 is expected to power the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34. The Exynos 1380 may also appear on other mid-range Galaxy M and Galaxy F series phones.
