Samsung unveils Odyssey Neo G8: The world’s first 4K 240Hz monitor
Thanks to the mini LED technology, the Samsung Odyssey Ark monitor model offers 1056 regional lighting areas and processes them in 14-bit. Thus, 16834 black levels and 1000000:1 contrast ratio are possible. Besides the 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, the artificial intelligence processor can scale the images to the most efficient 4K by processing the data obtained from different networks. The curve diameter is 1000R.
The cockpit mode of the monitor with HDR 10+ and Dolby Atmos support is remarkable. The screen, which can fit 4 22.5-inch monitors horizontally, can fit 3 monitor screens one after the other when rotated vertically. It is stated that this mode is ideal for more efficient work. With Samsung Multi View, you can run multiple applications in windowed mode. Unfortunately, two sources cannot be received at the same time via HDMI.
Samsung Gaming Hub brings together many important online gaming services and prevents tearing with AMD FreeSync Premium. A multiplexer box has also been prepared for further connections.
