Recently, Samsung came up with the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series, which are folding phone models. The company, which has captured 95 percent of the industry thanks to its sales success with these devices, is now preparing to introduce new models. But it turned out that it will not bring that feature that has been expected for a while this year.
New Samsung folding phone models Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 will not have an under-screen fingerprint reader!
Samsung used a side-mounted fingerprint reader on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3. However, according to the claims made by BusinessKorea, the company was considering adding an under-display fingerprint sensor to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.
However, according to the information that has emerged, Samsung has recently decided not to use this technology in new devices. Instead, it will continue to use side-mounted fingerprint scanners like its predecessors.
Many claims made in the past were said that folding phones may not support a sensor placed under the panel due to screen technologies. But we know that Vivo has done this in its X Fold model.
Actually, the only explanation on the subject is that it makes much more sense to mount this sensor on the side rather than under the screen. For example, Z Fold users can use their devices with a folded front screen as long as they don’t need it.
Therefore, it will be much easier for them to touch the sensor on the side, rather than turn the device on and read the fingerprints and then continue using it by closing it again. In other words, every new technology may not bring the convenience we expect in our lives. For this reason, it can be much more advantageous to hang in the old style in folding phone models.
