South Korean technology giant Samsung has announced that the ‘Unpacked’ event, which is expected to introduce its new smartphone series, will be held both in its virtual store on the metaverse platform Decentraland and in the real world.
Samsung stated that the first ‘Unpacked’ event of the year, which will be held on February 9, will be accessible both on the metaverse and in the real world.
The event can also be watched on 837X in Decentraland, the virtual version of Samsung’s store in New York. At the Unpacked event, Samsung is expected to introduce the new smartphone series Galaxy S22.
The Event Will Be Broadcast On Many Different Platforms At The Same Time
Samsung’s virtual store in Decentraland will be open to users for a limited time. Users will be able to participate in events with their avatars, view Samsung-developed NFTs, and purchase via Decentraland. The event will be broadcast on 8 more platforms, including Twitch, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok and Twitter, apart from the virtual store.
