While Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones are a new milestone in the use of smartphones due to their foldable structure, the South Korean company aims to sign more folding smartphones in the near future. So far, we have shared with you many examples of patents that point to Samsung’s work in this direction. Now a new one joins them.
As spotted by LetsGoDigital, the company has just received another patent. The phone, which is claimed to be called Galaxy Tri-Fold, can be folded 3 times thanks to its flexible screen. Galaxy Tri-Fold, which takes on the appearance of a standard smartphone when folded 3 times, can become a giant tablet when fully opened. It is also among the information in the patent that the phone, which is expected to have an HDMI connection, can be used as a monitor thanks to this connection.
Adopting the double hinge structure according to the patent examples, the Galaxy Tri-Fold can fold inwards like the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but also outward like the Huawei Mate X. Thus, the phone, which is thought to diversify the way of use, also has a fingerprint sensor on the main screen. On the other hand, it is claimed that an under-screen camera will be used and a triple rear camera setup will accompany it.
As we said, we have seen many foldable smartphone patents from the Samsung front so far. However, which one of them he concentrates on, which one turns into reality, we will have to wait for a while to answer this question.
