South Korean technology giant Samsung continues to make significant investments despite the global economic slowdown. According to new reports, the firm will soon establish a smartphone manufacturing facility in Egypt.It will provide employment to approximately 1400 people.
Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies announced that Samsung will establish a new factory in the country. The production facility, which will be established on an area of 6000 square meters in the Beni Suef region, is expected to provide employment for approximately 1400 people.
Since the factory is expected to open in the last quarter of the year, it seems unlikely that we will see any products from this facility before 2024. In addition, the smartphones that will be produced in this facility are expected to be offered for sale in the Egyptian market instead of the international market. Continuing to invest in production facilities, we hope that Samsung will establish a production facility in our country soon.
