Technology giant Samsung is rolling out some updates to further improve its best smartphones on the market. According to a new report, the company is now working to improve the camera of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. According to a feature tested in the test version, the Galaxy S23 Ultra may soon get 2x portrait mode.

Update may be available in June

According to the post by tipster Ice Universe, Samsung is testing the 2x option for the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s portrait mode. The 2x mode will use a 50MP crop from the 200MP main camera and then downscale the image to 12MP.

The update to be released will not only include the 2x portrait mode. According to Tipster’s share, the 1.5 GB update may also bring some improvements. The update is expected to be available in late May or early June. Finally, it is not yet known whether Samsung will bring the 2x portrait mode option to other premium Galaxy phones.
