According to the results of 2021, Samsung has become the leader of the semiconductor market in terms of revenue. The chip manufacturing division of the South Korean company dominated 12.3 percent of the global market, generating $73.1 billion in revenue.

Samsung surpassed Intel for the first time since 2018. The US chip maker earned $72.5 billion last year with a 12.2% market share. SK Hynix has taken the third place in the semiconductor market with a share of 6.1 percent.

The published report shows that Qualcomm is sitting in the fifth seat. The American chip maker captured a 4.6 percent share of the market last year, generating $27 billion in revenue. MediaTek, on the other hand, earned $17.6 billion. NVIDIA and AMD are also among the top 10 chip manufacturers with revenues of $16.8 and $16.2 billion, respectively.
