Having one of the world’s largest smart home and home automation systems with the SmartThings ecosystem, Samsung is increasing its interest in SmartThings. Having established the Home Connectivity Alliance (HCA) for smart home systems at CES 2022, Samsung can make important announcements at IFA 2022.
The number of SmartThings supported devices will increase
The HCA, which Samsung established at CES 2022, includes many companies. Some of these companies are as follows: American Standard, Electrolux, GE Appliances, Grundig, Arçelik, Beko and Vestel. If the partnership established by Samsung does not attract attention with any development after CES 2022, new reports indicate that important announcements will come at the IFA 2022 event.
Samsung’s SmartThings ecosystem will most likely get a major update after IFA 2022, and many HCA member companies will start promoting their SmartThings supported products. Samsung’s already powerful SmartThings platform will support thousands of more devices before the end of the year. Also, Samsung SmartThings will soon get Sync support for Philips Hue devices.
