Carrying the model number M80C, the new Smart Monitor M8 comes in two different screen sizes with a sleek and slim design and supporting 4K resolution. The monitor, which is available in daylight blue, spring green, sunset pink, and warm white color options, can be used vertically and the tilt-supported height-adjustable stand offers the user the best angle. It also meets VESA mounting compatibility standards to save space and eliminate clutter.
Smart Monitor M8 comes with built-in SmartThings Hub that allows you to connect, control and manage smart home devices. Many of the monitor’s highlights, including SmartThings and Smart Hub, are also available without a remote control; can be controlled with the mouse. Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube and other streaming services can be accessed through the Smart Hub. The My New Contents feature provides useful information at a glance. When the monitor is in standby mode and detects a registered phone via low power Bluetooth, it displays the user’s personal photos, schedule and more on the screen. When the phone coverage goes out, the monitor switches itself to standby mode again.
Smart Monitor M8, which comes with a thin small web camera in 2K resolution that works with video conferencing applications such as Google Meet, comes with Samsung Knox Vault, a security feature that encrypts personal data and keeps stored files isolated from the device’s main operating system.
Samsung did not share information about the price and release date of the monitor.
