In MWC 2025, Samsung introduced asymmetric Flip, a new concept that can create a revolution in the form of folding smartphones.

Nowadays, foldable phones are still not fully widespread, but Samsung is preparing to adopt a different design approach in this foldable phone concept. Although this new design looks like the design of the Galaxy Z Flip, the phone is folded at two different points, not one.

How does the design of the three asymmetric flip look like?

The new asymmetric flip resembles the Galaxy Z Flip series, but it does not have an external screen. The current prototype leaves a small gap before the device is completely closed.

The new concept aims to eliminate the classic center folding on the lid phones, but it may fall against the basic advantage of the compact design understanding that it is longer than the usual Galaxy Z Flip when it folds.

It is also valuable to state that these three -storey panels developed by Samsung Display are only at the design step. Whether the concepts of the phones will be transferred to mass production, Samsung Electronics will be dependent on the announcements to be made.
