Samsung seems to be preparing to make a giant change with its new generation flagship phone series. However, this time the change is not in technical specifications or designs, but in a completely different area: in naming. According to the latest rumors, the South Korean technology giant plans to leave the ‘Galaxy’ brand, which it has used for many years, in the Galaxy S25 series. It is claimed that the Galaxy brand will be terminated with this new series.
These claims that the name will change have not been officially confirmed. However, one of the reliable sources, Ishan Agarwal, stated that Samsung may leave the ‘Galaxy’ name behind, based on the rumors circulating in the industry. It is possible that the series, which is still referred to as ‘Galaxy S25’ in Samsung’s official bulletins so far, will change its name before the launch. If this is true, it could have a big impact in the tech world. In this case, it may be possible to introduce the new series under the names Samsung S25, Samsung S25+ and Samsung S25 Ultra. Additionally, a Samsung S25 FE version, which may also be called ‘Slim’, is expected to be released as the more budget-friendly model of this series.
Although the accuracy of these claims has not yet been confirmed, it is known that Samsung is planning some important improvements in the new S25 series. According to rumors, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will come with a brighter screen and Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. Other models of the series will be equipped with similarly powerful features. Additionally, information was leaked that the S25 Ultra will be offered in black, green, blue and titanium color options.
Currently, this information is only at the level of rumor. Therefore, it seems best to wait for Samsung to make an official statement about this big change.
