Exynos brand does not change
The Exynos platform, which was once a strong alternative to Snapdragon processors, has been subject to serious criticism in recent years due to performance and power consumption problems. So much so that after the Galaxy S22, Exynos was said goodbye to flagship phones. Latest reports show that it will return again specifically for the Galaxy S24 series. That’s why the latest rumors about Exynos have caused confusion in the technology world.
In a statement to Android Authority, Samsung officially confirmed that the rumors were not true and that no such rebranding was happening. Although the Korean giant made it clear that the Exynos series will not be rebranded, it confirmed that it is working on an internal project under the name “Dream”. However, it is currently unknown what he plans with this project.
It should be noted that rebranding is widely used in the technology market. For example, recently Xiaomi announced that it would leave behind the long-used MIUI operating system and switch to HyperOS. However, it looks like Samsung plans to keep the Exynos brand. So the Dream Chip or Dream will serve another purpose entirely.
