One of the first brands that come to mind when it comes to clamshell and foldable smartphones, Samsung has achieved and continues to achieve significant success with its Galazy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphones. It is also known that the company is working on the next foldable phones Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 models. According to a new report published, Samsung expects a lot from these phones.

According to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Samsung’s display manufacturing arm has shipped 8.7 million foldable panels for the Galaxy Z Flip 4. This means a 70 percent increase in foldable display orders for the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Thus, it is aimed that consumers can access more foldable smartphones.

The decision to discontinue the Galaxy Note series and merge it with the Galaxy S series was the company’s biggest decision in a while. Having decided to combine the 2 series, Samsung wants to shift the effort it will spend on the Galaxy Note series to fully foldable smartphones. Undoubtedly, the sales of Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 had a great impact on this decision of the South Korean company.

Display shipping for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is expected to start in April. This means that we can see the new phone in August or September. Although there is no official confirmation about this for now, it is almost certain that we will see the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 in the last quarter of this year.
