Announcing its plans for home appliances and the SmartThings platform, which it will introduce soon before the IFA 2022 event, Samsung announced that it plans to become the No. 1 energy efficiency brand by combining it with the energy efficiency technology of home appliances, expand sustainable efforts with meaningful collaborations and offer solutions to bring Net Zero Home to life.
While Samsung aims to offer its Bespoke Home line of appliances to more countries, it also aims to make SmartThings Energy WiFi-enabled. Thanks to this feature, almost all home appliances that will be produced in the future will be WiFi enabled. In this way, users will be able to see the energy consumption and efficiency of all home appliances and devices from their smart devices, and make adjustments.
The company is also partnering with Qcells and SMA Solar Technology to create a ‘Net Zero Home’ model. Houses in the Net Zero Home model can produce and store their own energy and reduce carbon emissions. The company is expected to reveal more detailed information about its future plans at the IFA 2022 event.
