One UI 5.0 was introduced at the Samsung Developer Conference held recently. All details regarding the latest features that will come with the Android 13 update, which will be offered to high-end Samsung phones such as Galaxy S22, Z Flip 4 and Z Fold4, have been shared.It comes with a redesigned lock screen that allows users to customize their wallpaper, watch face and color palettes. There is also a video wallpaper option that allows short videos to be placed on the lock screen.

With the Bixby Text Call feature, users can respond to phone calls with a message. Bixby converts text to audio, shares it directly with the person on the other end of the line, and shows you what the caller is saying by translating the text. Thanks to this feature, users will be able to communicate more easily in noisy environments such as concerts. Bixby Text Call doesn’t even support English language at the moment; It is said to be available in early 2023.
All devices connected to the smartphone can be controlled from the new Connected devices menu. All features that work with other devices such as Quick Share, Smart View, Samsung DeX can be accessed here. The menu, which allows automatic switching between devices for Buds headphones, can be accessed more easily.
One UI 5 also offers improvements in security and privacy. Users can quickly take a look at the security of their device and receive recommendations and alerts depending on the situation. When a photo containing sensitive information such as credit card, debit card number, driver’s license, passport is shared, a notification appears on the sharing panel that warns the user. Finally, the Samsung Gallery app now lets you copy text from photos.
