When we think of two-sided curved mobile phone screens, Samsung is usually the first brand that comes to mind. Although most companies later used these screens, it was first used and popularized by Samsung. However, Samsung now seems bored with curved screens. Allegedly, the screen of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra may hardly be curved.
According to a leak by @UniverseIce, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra’s screen will be less curved than the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus. When we look at the previously leaked unofficial pictures of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, we see that this claim is likely to be true.
The fact that the screen isn’t curved doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad thing. Although curved screens look nice, they do have some problems. For example, they are more likely to break when they fall to the ground. There is also a high probability of accidentally touching the edges while holding it in one hand.
Samsung did not use arcs in the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus. The fact that the curve is almost zero in the S22 Ultra also shows that the phones after that can be completely flat.
