According to the press release from Samsung, many elements have been changed on the design front to create a more modern look and feel. This includes a new default font and new emojis that you can use from the Samsung Keyboard. The company has also updated the look of the Quick Panel so you can access frequently used features more easily.
As for customization, One UI 6 will let you choose specific lock screens tied to specific Modes and Routines, which is pretty similar to what can be done with iPhone’s lock screens and Focus modes. Unfortunately, the One UI 6 beta will only be available on the Galaxy S23 series to start with. However, the beta program has not been opened globally. At the time of writing this article, we have seen that Samsung America has removed the relevant official announcement that it has published on its site. The company made a similar announcement for Germany a while ago, when the program was not yet on the air, and retracted the announcement. Although it is stated on Samsung’s official US site that the beta program will start in Germany and South Korea, it is interesting that the article was withdrawn. Somehow, the company seems to have made another mistaken announcement regarding the availability of the One UI 6.0 beta program for the Galaxy S23 series.
