Samsung Display showed off an OLED display panel earlier this year that can transform into a smaller form factor. According to the latest information, Samsung may actually launch a phone that uses such a rollable OLED screen. Because the claims about this issue have started to take shape well.

Samsung may launch a rollable screen phone

According to reliable leakster Revegnus, Samsung may launch a phone with a rollable OLED display in 2025. If this information is somehow correct, the company may introduce the phone alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 in the second half of the year. In addition, the rollable screen phone is claimed to have an improved UPC (Under Panel Camera). Due to the device structure, it can have an end-to-end frameless screen.

On the other hand, having nearly perfected the Z-shaped foldable form factor with the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold series, Samsung may indeed be looking at such more innovative form factors for mobile devices, including phones with rollable screens and phones that can be converted into tablets with dual foldable screens. The company is also said to be working on a device that has two hinges and can transform from a phone to a tablet. Coming back to the rollable OLED display, the panel showcased by Samsung Display can expand to a 12.4-inch display as needed, thanks to a built-in engine that rolls and unfolds the flexible OLED display.
