Mobile phones have been coming with a charger out of the box since the first day they came out. Recently, this tradition has come to an end with Apple. Although this decision was criticized by many institutions and individuals, Apple did not take a step back. The biggest criticism on this issue came from rival company Samsung.
Samsung will not send a charger in the new Galaxy A series in the USA
First, Apple followed an interesting path by not sending a charger out of the box in 2020. The company made a statement that the reason for taking this decision was to reduce its carbon footprints. At that time, this decision was met with sarcasm by Samsung. However, it seems that they will follow the same path in a short time.
Samsung had started shipping its flagship Galaxy S21 series phones together without a charger. The company will apply this decision, which was initially applied only to flagship models, to entry-level phones as well. Samsung has decided not to put chargers in the Galaxy A series in the USA.
According to many rumors, this attitude will also take place in the M series. It is not known whether the no-charge Galaxy A and M series plan will take place outside the US. However, the company probably chose the US as a trial. It is estimated that Samsung’s decision to remove the chargers from the boxes will also cover the upcoming Galaxy A13, Galaxy A23, Galaxy M23 and Galaxy M33 models.
Apple’s decision not to send a charger with the box applies to all iPhone products. Although it is stated that this is done to prevent carbon footprint and technological waste, many people think that it is a sales policy. It will be clear in time whether Samsung will show this attitude on all its phones.
