Samsung is known as the second largest manufacturer of mobile camera sensors in the world. While the sensors produced by the company are used by almost every smartphone brand, it has also launched several large-size camera sensors in the past year, including ISOCELL GN1 and ISOCELL GN2. The South Korean company is making a new ISOCELL camera sensor this year, again by not breaking the tradition.
The company’s new giant sensor is called ISOCELL GNV. While this sensor, which is specially produced for Vivo phones, is 1/1.3 inches in size, it is not yet clear which Vivo model it will be used for first. Most likely, the ISOCELL GNV, which has a 50 MP resolution similar to ISOCELL GN1, ISOCELL GN2 and ISOCELL GN5, can be featured as the primary camera in the Vivo X80 Pro+, which the company is expected to introduce soon.
