If you’re questioning why camera phones should have 108MP or even 200MP sensors, while your old iPhone with a 12MP camera takes pictures just fine, you might want to watch a new video released by Samsung. Or if you’re a cat fan, again this video is worth checking out.

Samsung shared a video about the new 200MP camera sensor that it announced in late 2021 but has not been used in a smartphone until now. Due to the emergence of this new advertisement, it can be thought that Samsung is preparing to use the new camera in the Galaxy S23 series.

This video teaches us the usefulness of its new sensor with cats, perhaps the best possible models. We see a team of engineers using the so-called ISOCELL HP1 to photograph some fluffy little cats before enlarging them to gigantic proportions for a billboard image.

The message behind the video is pretty clear: 200MP images are high resolution enough to be converted into giant billboard images. Of course, not many people will actually want to take photos that big, but at least it can be said that there is a clear and logical message.
