In the first days of 2023, Samsung officially introduced the first phone of the 2023 model Galaxy A series. The Korean company introduced the Galaxy A14 5G, which will be the successor to the Galaxy A13 5G in 2021, a day before the Consumer Electronics Show CES, held in Las Vegas, USA.
Information regarding the Galaxy A14 5G has been leaked multiple times over the past few months and it seems that most of it is correct. The phone comes with a 6.6-inch Full HD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and is powered by the new Exynos 1330 processor. The same 5,000mAh battery as before remains in place.
The A14 5G comes with 64GB or 128GB internal storage and 4GB or 6GB RAM options and offers the possibility to expand the storage by 1TB more using the microSD slot. On the imaging side, the A14 5G includes triple rear cameras. It consists of a 50MP main camera and 2MP depth and macro cameras, while the front camera is upgraded to a 13-megapixel sensor.
Galaxy A14 5G is the first Samsung phone to come with Android 13 and One UI (Core) 5.0 on it. However, when it comes to software updates, the A14 5G won’t get any special treatment and only qualifies for two years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
Samsung will offer four color options for the A14 5G: Black, silver, dark red and light green. Sales are scheduled to begin in April.
