Some old Samsung Galaxy S series phones have been around for a long time due to GPS issues. But Samsung relieves its users by fixing these problems with updates. Galaxy devices like the 2017 model Galaxy S8 and 2016 model Galaxy S7 have already received the GPS bug fix update. And now it’s time for the 2015 flagship S6 series.
As reported by GalaxyClub.nl, Samsung is rolling out a minor update for the Galaxy S6 series (Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy S6 edge+). The update is currently available in the Netherlands and Belgium. Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge purchased from Vodafone in the Netherlands have started receiving software versions G920FXXU6EVG1 and G925FXXU6EVG3, respectively. On the other hand, it is reported that the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge+ models have also received the update in Belgium. The release notes don’t mention anything about the GPS fix, but that’s why it’s presumed to be released.
The update, which is only 13 MB in size, will be released in other countries in the coming days, as usual. If you haven’t received a notification about the update while it’s being released, you can check it manually. Just press Settings > Software update > Download and Install. Your phone will check official servers and if it detects a new update, it will ask you to install it.
