Samsung, the leader of the foldable smartphone market, introduced its new flagship devices last week. Although the devices have similar designs to the previous generation, they are more advanced in every respect. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 first impressions!
Lightweight performance mode offers higher performance than Snapdragon 888
Coming with One UI 4.1.1, Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 draw attention with their new performance options. The devices come with the “Performance Profile” menu in the settings. It offers two different performance profiles with this menu. The “Standard” profile has Samsung’s recommended balance of performance and battery life, while the “Light” performance mode prioritizes battery life and cooling efficiency.
A Reddit user who provides early access to the devices has put two performance profiles through detailed tests. The “Light” performance mode typically offers 20% less performance than the “Standard” profile, but devices get much warmer when using this profile. It also appears that the “Light” performance mode outperforms the Snapdragon 888 used in previous generations. Attaching importance to performance and efficiency, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 will offer even more efficient use with the new feature of One UI 4.1.1.
