The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series will consist of two models; Galaxy Watch 6 and WAtch 6 Classic. Samsung’s new smartwatches will likely be introduced in July – August, along with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 folding smartphones. Although the FCC listing does not provide detailed information about the Watch 6 series, it shows that the watch will come in two size options.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 receives FCC certification
Galaxy Watch 6 will come in 40mm and 44mm case sizes. The 40mm SM-R930 carries the model number 44mm SM-R940. Connectivity options on the Samsung Watch 6 will include Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/a, NFC and GNSS. Similar to the Galaxy Watch 5 series, it will feature wireless charging and will use the same wireless charger as the previous model.Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will have rotating bezels reminiscent of the popular Watch 4 Classic. The model, which will have a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 470×470 pixels, will be powered by a 425mAh battery.
More information on their features will emerge as Samsung’s new smartwatches appear on other certification platforms in the coming weeks.
