The first tracking device offered by the brand adopted a more square design with rounded corners. The new model abandons this form entirely. Galaxy SmartTag 2 has much more rounded ends and straight edges. The square form factor has been replaced by a rectangular shape.
The hole on the trunk is growing
The previous generation had a smaller hole. A larger hole has been placed in the body of the new version to make it easier to attach items such as suitcases or keys. The FCC list also mentions Bluetooth Low Energy and UWB (ultra-wideband) connectivity options.
There is not much information about the release date of Galaxy SmartTag 2 yet. The company held its second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year recently. The tracker was not showcased at this launch. Therefore, the product is expected to be launched early next year.
