As we approach the end of the year and the interest in the new iPhones has ended, at least on the media side, the technology world has its eyes set on Samsung’s new flagship phones. If the leaks are true, we now know when the Galaxy S24 family will be introduced.
Recently, there was news that Samsung could introduce the new Galaxy S24 series in January. According to new claims by news sources in South Korea, the Galaxy Unpacked event where the series will be introduced will be held on January 17, 2024. Moreover, this event will be held in San Jose, which we can call Apple’s backyard. Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra models will take the stage at the event.
Galaxy S24 series will be available for pre-order immediately after the launch
One day after the event is completed, on January 18, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be available for pre-order. Pre-ordered devices will be distributed between January 26-30. General sales will begin on January 30.
There is no clear information about the prices of the new series, but according to claims circulating behind the scenes, Samsung will maintain the same pricing strategy as the Galaxy S23 series. In this case, the prices of the Galaxy S24 model will start from $ 900. Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra models will be sold for $ 1000 and $ 1200 respectively. Of course, these are just rumors.
In the past months, it was revealed that the new flagship models will be Samsung’s first artificial intelligence-supported phones. In this model, which will come with the artificial intelligence developed by the company, Bixby will also be renewed under the name Galaxy AI. The company announced that real-time translation can be made during calls thanks to the new feature. Thus, the first feature of Galaxy AI was revealed.
Activity right under Apple’s nose
Samsung had considered San Francisco in the USA and Seoul in South Korea for the event, but considering its close relationship with Google and rivalry with Apple, Samsung decided on San Jose. San Jose is located 15 kilometers from Apple’s headquarters.
The reason why Samsung has pushed its traditional date weeks ahead to introduce its phones is that the company wants to increase its first quarter sales figures. Thus, the company is switching to a strategy that targets high sales figures in the first and third quarters of the year.
